Just remembered they also hit Peter Marsh's on that day in Canal st
Them poor poeple back in the day. OMG
Like l said before wish l could speck to my granddad about this and other members of my family.
Wish the locaal schools would have taught me history about Bootle and the war in Liverpool ( 1066 ? :wink: :wink: )

Some wonderful history in the article.

William Spurstow Miller, of the Castle and Bridge fame, was the driving force for the founding of the church.
