Another go at converting cd's to mp3 to store on hard drive.
Listening to the album below through the laptop and bluetooth headphones (in stereo).
Would have first heard these songs on Luxembourg (medium wave 208) or Caroline (medium wave 199) on my brother's Grundig tranny.
Reckon I'll be able to listen to everything I've got stored, if I can live to 193.

Coming up for auction in October, two of The Beatles' set lists.
The first is from a series of shows at the Grosvenor Ballroom Liscard in 1960.
Only one original song, One after 909, the rest were covers.
The next set is from the Majestic Ballroom Luton April 17 1963. Greater number original compositions.

Just trying out Mack's new video link update.
Works dead boss la'.
7 minutes from Pathé News on The Mersey Sound (1964). Great footage of the original Cavern.
"The Unsung Heroes of the Mersey Sound" (23 minutes) that has some great music and personalities.
Also "And The World Listened"(1965). Starts off with great shots of the river. At 8 minutes The Searchers recording Sugar and Spice in the studio.

I was listening to Faithless' The Dance (2010) album.
Lyric below is an excerpt from the track "Flyin Hi". Wondered whether it was a nod to The 23rd Turnoff (see post on The Kirkbys above).
My soul fills the universe end to end
And I feel myself heal and mend
My mind is still and I'm floating
Look down, throttle's still wide open
Inner serenity comfort me
Past Junction 23
On my way back, full chat, and I'm flying
I won't crack and I'll never stop trying

Recently colourised set of The Beatles playing on the US programme "Shindig!" , October 3 1964.
"NOTE: This is a COLORIZED video, originally in B&W. ALL INSTRUMENTS WERE PRE-RECORDED AS WELL AS THE THREE PART HARMONY ON KANSAS CITY, BUT THE REST OF THE VOCALS ARE LIVE
Following rehearsals on the previous day, The Beatles recorded an appearance for a British edition of US music TV show Shindig! at the Granville Studio in London. The performance was watched by London residents of the Beatles Fan Club. The Beatles performed three songs: ‘Kansas City/Hey-Hey-Hey-Hey!’, ‘I’m A Loser’, and ‘Boys’."
