Gray street school

4th photo up (Gray street wall) taken probably 1958 in 4th year, don't remember the male teacher with the teddy boy haircut, but a few names besides myself, Enid Cooper David Cranham, Edwin Dry, John Chorlton, Mary Hall, Grace ?, Linda Fairhurst, Barbara Taylor, most of the girls went on to Roberts secondary and the boys to Saint Georges, wish my memory was better,

This is Netherton Moss A 1957/8/9. The school closed in 1959 and when it became the Boys Grammar School for which it was originally intended., This was my year but I was in a different class.

This one is my class. I am far right middle row. B Jones is 2nd left top row. I can name them all but I think Bee did this awhile ago.

From the People's Collection Project being funded by the Welsh Government.

Bedford School Bootle. (c 1924?)

Possibly a Sunday School photo.(c 1920?).

Image

James Lewis Roberts is sitting cross-legged at the front, and I would guess the photo is two to three years earlier than the school photo.

I know many would regard it as sacrilege, but there's a site, colorize.sg, that automatically colours black and white photos.
There's no choice on the colour scheme, or if there is I haven't found it.

Colourised photos from above. Apologies.
