Bob, that sounds ominously like the start of the competitvely miserable Yorkshiremen Monty Python sketch.
"You were lucky, we could only dream of being thrashed 40 t' nout."
Ken, things are going fine. Always said the Bootle stuff was fun. I finally finished the serious stuff July 9 - only took 32 years.
Now I've started reading (novels) again. Being retired, I can do 400 pages a day.
Got soaked in town yesterday. Went to The Works - 3 paperbacks for £5. It will do me 'til Monday.
I would have replied earlier but I was up 'til 2 o'clock watching the Liverpool game - I can't watch live any more - blood pressure.
Winter is going to be tough. I'm probably going to start double masking. Booster jab at month end.
I'd best post some JOC stuff now.

I edit most of the posts, which leaves out any non-football news that's on the page.
From now on I'll post the complete page, where possible, at the end of each post.
There may be something of interest to someone. I've started with the 2 posts above.

i notice there has been some full pages from the bootle times sports pages , if somebody has access to them my dad was featured in 1963 he was the goalie for boston utd , known as tucker , the page i remember had a big headline along the top saying a triumph for tom caldwell , i had the page but lent it to someone and never saw it again , it was definitely 1963 so its between jan and april or aug and dec theres a photo of chris kelly on the page too , does anyone on here have it on file , would love to see it again
