Well, my good friend and ex Joc Player Eddie mentioned Ray Mears l have posted some articles on him but will do a post on his history What a Gent
Jimmy Gee is another great player from the past that should never be forgotten from Bootle ( big thanks to Margret Gordon )
There are loads more and will post later
What a great place it must have been loads of football team firms and clubs to play for in them days.

Tommy Cliff (goalie) the lad next to him was called Stephen???, Sean Smith, Robert (or Alan Carr), Gary Blundell, Carl Reardon, Peter Evans, Ian Collins, Paul Newman, Alan Boardman, Alan Ross.
Orel school 3rd and 4th year football teams. I played for both.
This must have been taken about 1981.

An Honours Board, featuring all the past winners of the five divisions and all the different cup winners from 1967 up to the present, was designed and printed, and is now on display in Bootle FC’s function room at their Vesty Road ground
