Looking forward to seeing the Litherland United lads again on Thursday in town. I started playing for them when I was 17 in the under 21 division of the JOC. We all went to each others 21St and weddings. Some come some went but a nucleus of about 8 became life long friends, a great bunch of guys.

Hi Bob..........Memory getting dimmer, but here's my best shot;

This is a snap of "Old Bootleians" (3rd or 4th team), circa early 1990's.

Back row; Bob Woodcock, Simon ?, Neil McKenna, ? , Ed Carlton, Dave Brownrigg jnr, ? , ? ,

Front row; Paul McCabe, Graeme Green, Vinny ?, ? ,

This was taken at Sterrix Lane pitch, close to the Stand Pub.........both now sadly gone. :-(

(Great post Bob..........some stunners posted) :-)

Hi Bob ......this is some of the crew (aka; 'Bootle 1830') who play every Friday night @ 6.30pm at "Activity for All" on Maguire Avenue, (most will know it better as "Bootle Tennis Centre").

Back row; Lada Brett (guesting from Czech Rep !), Dillon, John Hayes, Paul McCabe, Chris Mace, Paul, Mike Dodd, Bobby Owen.
Front row; Steve Berry, Cliff Davies & son Noah (mascot !), Jim Astor, Timmy.

We've had this booking 30+ years now..........Futty is a drug. :-) P

Did anyone know a Kenny Rogers ( not the singer ) a big tall lanky lad played in goal for Blessed Sac?
Good goalie, he worked for Keizers Glass.
Cheers Ken
