Not sure if these have been posted previously before.....

But here's the Bootle Team of 1976-77, with The Lancs Combination League Winners trophy, Liverpool Challenge Cup & The Lancs Comb' Cup.

Also a copy of the programme from the FA Cup Trophy match versus CARSHALTON from Jan 31st 1981.

I was at that match & it was a cracking game....the "Bucks Park" ground on Copy Lane was packed....Bobby Owen & the late great John O'Leary were unplayable & rattled the woodwork a couple of times each but the match finished 0;0 & Bootle lost the replay.

I notice with interest that the club's licensing hours states that the bar closed at 3pm weekdays & 2pm on Sundays...(!!)

Ha Ha.....that gaff was one of the best "Jam Pots" in the entire city.. !! :-)

Looking through the original pdf's for the season I've found a little more coverage of the Crosby and District Sunday League.

September 19 1974. I love the warning to teams about the use of "ringers"

Dan Crosby and District
Great names and Teams
St Edmonds and Rossett Park I played for them back in the day John Charlie Harris Albie and I, it was my ambition to play football with my brother and l did and we won a cup. Steve Goodwin also played in that team what a team that was. The manager was Mick Goodwin he was the manager of the Pentagon in the JOC and also had something to do with Marine. St Edmonds was started first and then came Rossett park after Marine's Ground and Mick Goodwin. ( John Harris will have more on this.
Dan keep it coming, PLEASE The lads are made up.
Loads looking in Dan
The count has gone up.
Thanks, Dan Bootle JOC and Crosby and District.
Pembroke what a team Lee Jones Old Boys good side my good mate John McFee manager What good times we had in the Mons talking about the JOC and Crosby and District games. Loved talking to my good mate John Jones about his brother Gerry playing days in the JOC one educated man on football.
