hi all, has anyone got any information or photos off walton hospital or its histort dating back ro around 1851.. Iv heard some storys and would like to clarify them such as an old asylum and or workhouse? Fascinated by this so any help is much appreciated

Hi Nats :P Here is some information it was indeed a workhouse as were quite a lot of Liverpool hospitals, some info from Mike Royden:

I think most of Bootle citizens were born in this hospital... LOL I was in 1946 and my sister was but in the air raid shelter in 1941

I was born at Walton Hospital, April 7th 1944, It was Good Friday, so I was a Holy Easter child. :D :) 8) Ray.
