Colette Benson remembers the bombing of 124 Benedict Street Bootle - 1941 - World War II

"124 Benedict Street Bootle after it had been bombed was the home of my
Great Grandmother Mary Elizabeth Pratt.
At the time the house was bombed she was at home along with her daughter
Emily Pratt and two Canaries.
Mary Elizabeth and daughter Emily, both survived, Mary Elizabeth died the following year 1941, the Canaries died in the bombing".

Colette's Great Grandfather Arthur Henry Pratt took residence at 124 Benedict Street in 1909 and lived there till his death in 1938 January.

He was the Licencee of the Nook Public House Nelson Street China Town Liverpool.
