Excellent work Bern, don't know of many rappers, learn something new every day :D
Now Bill, lets have another guess at 5 (the chubby one  )

Not her Shelagh. As I said to Ken, read the first part of the clue, there is a big hint there.

Bill, Is it possible that a tiger could be involved in this answer?
If so, lets try Chaka Khan..initially changing HER, SHE could become Shere Khan, this would certainly make her become chubby :D

Not her Shelagh, but I will give you another clue. 'Tiger' could have something to do with the answer. :)

Eartha Kitt..suppose if you change the initial, could get (Big) Bertha Kitt :D

How about (Fatty) PATTI LABELLE(belly) for #5

and thinking for #4 shabby "got the" could be an an anagram.... TOGETHER?

Hi Bee, neither of those. I was expecting you to come in on this one a while ago.
I have been calling this very famous singer by this name for years. Think of the 'tiger' clue as well as sounds like.

Could 5 be Shirley Bassey?

Swap initials and sounds like she becomes burly and she's from Tiger Bay.

Good one Bernie, had forgotten about Shirley :)

4. Wondering if this drink could be a cocktail :?
If so, the Beach Boys have a song, "Kokomo" (also the name of a liqueur)
Enough letters in sentence to form Beach Boys name..just a thought!!

She's the one Bernie. Every time I see her I automatically call her Burley Chassie instead of Shirley Bassey.

Well done

Go on then Bill, will go with original thought, Baccara, 'Yes Sir I Can Boogie'
drink - Bacardi - no shabby!
Also, band called Chic 'Everybody Dance' fits in with shabby, but no drink
involved!!
Where's Bernie when he's needed

Those last clues have me thinking of The Spinners and as 'got the' is an anagram of Ghetto so I'll tentatively go for Detroit Spinners (had a hit with Ghetto Child) - that said, it's all a bit tenuous so I'm not at all confident.

On the plus side, it did remind me of that fab soul song which I've just used as Today's Tune on Facebook :D

A group from the sixties called the Tornados - also a cocktail?
Not sure about shabby though!!

Hooray! That's the one Shelagh, though it's nothing to do with a cocktail.

A synonym of torn is 'shabby' and ados is a backward drink 'soda'.
So shabby drink back = torn + ados :) :)

The answers are always right there in the clues. You don't have to think of anything complicated or outside the box.
