Fabulous photograph, Ken, those poor people, having to walk for days to reach their venue,
Probably been preparing for ages for this social event.
All that distance, walking barefooted, makes one feel truly humbled, and grateful for all that we have!
Keep the pictures coming Ken :)

Bob - Lovely photo of the "Pig & Whistle!" :D

Ken, Both you & Janette are a lot braver than I would be if
I came across such a pair. Good for you! I do however
notice that there were certain "Perks" for some regarding
the "Group" photo!!!  :D

We have just returned from Lew's Family Reunion in Johnson City,
Tennessee, which I was told, started in 1954 - There were about 45
that attended and now it is first cousins and their children that are
the ones continuing same.We did, however, have a great time
and Lew thoroughly enjoyed visiting with all his "Folks!" The food
was absolutely unbelievable! Those Country people certainly know
how to cook and of course, it helps that it is all fresh from their
garden and farms, even the meat!
Here is a photo of just all the first cousins.............

Lew's younger bro, Glen, is first on the left and his sister, Kona is holding a red flask!

Nice family gathering Patricia. :D Ken

Re my pic of the dancers in PNG, it was hard to miss the girls as most were dressed that way. There was,in total, dancers from seven different tribes and some of the men were asked to cover up before meeting us. I was happy they did  K

Graham, what can I say, so impressed by your preservative industry :D how well organised you are
All that hard work in the garden has paid off, now be able to spend the autumn enjoying the fruits of your labour :D
The jars look splendid - would definitely go for the Plumb chutney or cucumber and onion pickle Mmmmm :) spoilt for choice!!

Graham, You are certainly putting me to shame, the only
items I have ever tried to preserve are Pickled Cabbage
and Pickled Onions! My son in law, Mark does make a
wonderful Salsa, but I have never tried same.
Your photo reminds me of Lew's Mum who had a cellar
of shelves full of labeled items only different from yours, i.e: Bread
& Butter Pickles,(no bread in there, :D ) Apple Butter, Peaches,
Tomatoes and her Green Beans were to die for! All these items
were gathered from her Vegetable Garden & Peach Trees.
I'm very impressed with your endeavors. :D

I am almost sure a BT poster started a thread putting recipes on, but cannot remember who it was, maybe somebody can remember who it was and it could be put on again. Graham, I think a few of us would like to make your recipes! :D they sound very tasty!!!

Lovely photos, Bernie, we have something similar here each year
I caught one Pirate busy on his mobile which looked a little out
of place considering his outfit!! :D
Enlarging Ken's photo really brought out the lovely details
of the Fountain of Peace - nice photo indeed!

We have recently returned from a Family Reunion in Tennessee
and while staying at the same Hotel that we always stay at, a group
of motorcyclists from South Carolina were also staying overnight.
I was really taken aback by their motorbikes had never seen that
make before but really thought they looked classy - what do you think?
