Thanks for bumping this up Bern, I didn't have the patience to look for it to post The Ark singing Burning Love . Will do that now and delete my new thread;

Elvis' BURNING LOVE sunk on The Voice last Saturday. I'd never really listened to the lyrics before.

Haha - I just watched your clip through Facebook and came back here to comment and it was gone! :shock: :lol:

Great version of the song that, Bee. I spent the first minute or so trying to work out who the vocal reminded me of - it was Hozier!

For anyone who doesn't know, that's Hozier as in...

I see where you're coming from Bern but I think this young lad has a more soulful, musical voice... get me, the woman who sounds like a frog in a bucket and is regularly asked "please don't sing" :cry:

Sad times for the Status Quo gang today - Rick Parfitt's funeral.

This tune has been a big, big favourite of mine since I first heard it (far too) many years ago so it's my fitting tribute to a musical legend. No disrespect at all to the more recent line-up but it felt appropriate to post a 'Frantic Four' version.

As the great man said in the song..."I'm in time but somebody's missing".

R.I.P. Rick (The WOMORR).

Remember that novelty record from the 70's - Mouldy Old Dough by Lt. Pigeon?

Ever wondered how it would have sounded if Status Quo had recorded it?

No, me neither - but somebody obviously did and here's the interesting results...

So, the big day has arrived and the Article 50 letter is on its way to Brussels...

Remainer: "It's the beginning of the end!"
Brexiteer: "No, it's the end of the beginning!"
Quo fan: "Who cares - let's rock!"

Jeez - is really over 3 months since anyone posted a tune?

Just had a stroll to 'the Square' and everyone's out in sunglasses - and why not as it's a lovely day? - it got me thinking of the movie Reservoir Dogs so here's a jaunty little tune that was in the film...

Nice to see this thread on the move again, enjoy the various selection of videos, but unfortunately my device won't allow me to play this one, telling me its not allowed..wouldn't mind a couple of others being posted though :D
Meanwhile off to town on this beautiful bright, warm sunny day, making the most of it while we can :wink: shades at the ready as always :)

This is not a very well known record, but I used to think it was a great record for either smooching to, or doing a slow jive.

I remember walking past Creases record shop by Spellow Lane and hearing this record being played over the speakers outside the shop. Went in and asked who it was and then bought it. Since then it has always been my favourite Billy Fury record.

Thanks for posting, but I can't get the vid Bernie. Here's a vid I took of the Moody's when they played the Philharmonic in 2014.

So many excellent versions of this beautiful song it's difficult to choose a favourite but sometimes the simplest version tells the story best;

Yes I know it now, Bernie. :D Obviously not one of my faves though, otherwise the words would have been more familiar.
