Welcome back Bill, and well done.

As a crosword fan, I knew the RA/artist thing would ring true with you for Marillion
You're also spot on with Kiss where K = 1000 = A grand

Just number 9 left now

Flippin' 'eck Bill talk about coming back with a bang! I need a lie down in a quiet corner just reading those clues.
Not even sure if I'm old enough to read #8
Will have a go at #10 with rey (Spanish for king) Charles or RAY CHARLES?

Sorry Bee,not that one.
I was hoping these would last a while,as it is still a busy time for me.
I have noticed that everyone is having a go at the easiest one (10). Think more modern.

Have to leave the Kings for now, Bill, grandson has commandeered my eyepad

Just had a thought for 8.

Female = she - measurement = ENA - centre of backside = E from st e rn..

No 8. Try 'Sheena Easton' :?

Could also be "Andrea Corr" - ac being the measurement
and core being the centre of backside :?

No..wasn't too sure about those Bill, but worth a guess!
Can't wait for answers to go up, very good cryptic's, lots of thinking involved

Guess for No 1. Not a clue about this pack, (still obscure) but try Brat Pack...
"Had a test on the last picture" F-Rank Sina-tra or art = Frank Sinatra :?

Not that one Shelagh.
See what the subject of the quiz is. It says Music Personalities and not pop stars.

Sorry Shelagh, I was not getting at your Frank Sinatra answer, I was just letting everyone know that all of the answers are not pop stars. Did not mean to upset you :(

No Problem Bill..easy mistake to make :)
Just to clarify..
Wiki describes Frank Sinatra, singer, actor, producer, as one of the most popular and influential musical artists of the 20th century, and one of the best selling music artists of all time  :D

A challenging set of posers Bill.

I was away with work yesterday so didn't really look in. Did read through them late on Monday night and was delighted to solve number 9 on first look, only to scroll down a touch and see Shelagh had beat me to it. :?

Will keep on pondering

Stinkers aren't they Bern! Like you, i got #9 too late and thought of Boy George for #10 after Bill's tip about "more modern" my reasoning was based on the newest Prince George who will one day be king.

Nearly forgot... really tenuous guess for #3; little bird could be Jenny = JENNIFER got cover in north = Hoods oN +HUDSON =JENNIFER HUDSON..... I know, I'll keep thinking while I scrub the terrace :(

Sorry Bee, not Jennifer Hudson, but you are half way there.
Don't forget what I have said about the answers all being to do with music, but not necessarily all pop stars. :)

Back to the two Kings, with many more guesses :)

Came up with a few possibilities (no probabilities  )
One being "Carole King" (Romania had a King Carol)

Try again later :D
