I would love Bill to be remembered on this board though I have no photos of Bill, he wrote many Bootle Forum members in his books, something that a lot of authors charge for by way of donations. He was a good and caring man, a good writer and a stalwart friend of many Bootle members.Bonesy wrote:I Would like to pay tribute to Bill (ryter)Williams.
I have just finished reading Bills book No Ordinary Room. It was a very good read and it drew me in from the very off.
Bill certainly was a great "ryter"

You are right Keith he was a very valuable member of the Forum and exceedingly generous in his books towards some of our members who appear in them, He always pointed out that his books were available at public libraries sadly miss his wit.Bonesy wrote:I Would like to pay tribute to Bill (ryter)Williams.

I apologise to all, not least my late sister, in that I neglected to post that yesterday was the anniversary of her departing this world.
RIP Babs. You are sadly missed and we love you dearly.

Respect to Finnegan (Evan Fawcwett) who has recently passed away.
Dott_of_8 - FInnegan's ministry here on the Bootle Forum is all done.
John 1:12-13
But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
Good stuff Finnegan and thanks for being part of our Bootle Forum

I found you Bootle when I needed a friend
My short lived computer life was about to end
I’d searched the internet and met just a few
As I looked for the people who remind me of you
Somebody in Oz came on just to say
You would love all the friends in your home town today
That’s how I found you a long time ago
The years have unfolded and where did they go
I haven’t said much in these last tender years
But I still like to read all the joy and the tears
And so as today we await Mack’s reply
I’ll just say Thank You, God Bless, and Goodbye,

When this thread was initially introduced I wondered how long it would be fully maintained and by whom, as Mack is already very busy, and very dedicated, to keeping the rest of the site going. I never wanted a mention for myself, of course, not just yet anyway. I doubt any of our present readers would disagree with that. .
It seemed obvious that, given the average age of members, this thread would soon be either full to overflowing or folk that have left us would not be included. Sadly, it seems that the latter has occurred as I can think of some who are not shown on this memorial thread.

Ernie, please do not think for one minute your lovely sister, Barbara Jackson could ever be forgotten. She was extremely generous, kind and thoughtful and above all larger than life. I do not need a special day to remember her as she is often in my thoughts. I hear you when you say about a number of people not being on the tribute page. I have a feeling you are hurt by this omission, not just for Barbara but others as well. I am sure it is an oversight as I notice her lovely husband Bill is mentioned. My Mother died in December 2011 and to this day I cannot get past losing her. Every year at Christmas I light a candle for my family and one for past friends. Tina (Thomo Sister) posted the name of a web site some time ago that you can go to and light a candle in memory of a loved one. For some reason more than anything else lighting this candle on Christmas Eve brings me peace. I will try and find the address and let you know. The site has nothing to do with religion.

Ernie, sorry to have taken so long getting back to you with the name of the website I visit every Christmas Eve
http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/mes
I am not a religious person but when I lost my lovely Mum in 2011, Thommos Sister (Tina) introduced me to this site. I hope once you light a candle it will bring you as much comfort as it does me.

Wow only just found this online forum. I am Kieran, Jean's grandson. Its great to see how many people fondly remember my nan. I used to attend the challengers group at the YMCA as a kid about aged 10 (im now 22!). Can vaguely remember Mack coming in and working with us. Great to see this website has my nans voice on as well. So glad I found this site
