Lily - Your generosity to do for others has always been very apparent
as has several of the other members on this Forum. The world is
certainly a much better place for it!! xx

I agree with you Lily. The biggest shock was the amount of money pouring into the United Way. The President and CEO are worth millions! I donate to Sick Kids Hospital here in Toronto and the War Amputees. I think I am safe in saying both charities spend the majority of funding on research and contributing to artificial limbs. Actually the amputee charity send you a small plastic label to add to your key ring with your account number on. Should you misplace your keys the label tells people to put the entire key ring in the mail box and it will be returned to it's owner. I have needed to use this service twice! Both charities are tax deductible. Keep up the good work, you are a little gem!

Hi folks, we had a night out...very rare event in this household!! Went to see the Blues Brothers Tribute and LOVED IT....de ja vu as our daughter was with us, back as she was donkeys years ago when we 3 saw the movie. The boys have the approval of John Belushi's widow and Dan Ackroyd. They and their band were outstanding, everyone rocking in the aisles, standing ovation....
Our Garston pals Bill & Sal are over here visiting their son, they came and stayed with us for a few days, it was full on, here and there, weather extremely hot, we enjoyed a few coldies in various pubs!! Bill has the starts of Alzheimers, shock to us, he relies on Sal for everything now, she's recovering for the last 5 years brilliantly from cancer. They both enjoyed themselves with us and vice versa. I'll post a photo when I sort my camera out. Enjoyed reading all your smashing posts girls...Tina xox

Hello to all, I know I have been missing for quite a while, sorry about that, no excuses, I hope you are all keeping well. Have just read some of your recent posts, and checked out the photos, lovely.

I meet up with Kathy and another friend Marilyn for coffee and a treat in town usually of a Wednesday though this week we had to postpone because of the rain we've been having. No good going out on the roads. Over about 48 hours we had just under 300 mils (12 inches) We've had a nice day today but more rain, storms and wind forecast for the weekend.

Last week went to see the film 'Lion' were advised to take plenty of tissues. A very good movie (true story)

For some months I've been walking with two friends, leaving home at 6am, over to the beach and along to New Brighton (not your's, ours :) ) down to the Yum Yum Tree Cafe for coffee and more chat, then walk home along the path. All up just over 5 k's. We've seen some lovely sunrises, they are different every day and we feel fortunate that we are able to do this. Another neighbour has now joined us so now we are four.
Kathy has mentioned to me that Patricia had been asking after me, Hello Patricia, my return to line dancing was delayed as I was having a problem again with Planter Faciitis (heel) we've now moved our venue to the Returned Services Club in Mullumbimby and that has brought some new ladies along. Will post some photos soon, xxx to all.

Happy St. Patrick's Day Everyone!!

AHHhhh, so glad to hear from you Robyn you certainly have
been missed, welcome back! xx
Talking of line dancing, we are giving a demo the end of April
at the Recreation Center to try and encourage new members,
we are doing only the easy beginners dances, so I'm not too worried about it!

Things are moving along at a slow pace with my orchid but I'm just
glad to see there are six buds on there. It will take until the middle
of summer at the rate they are going!! :D Here is the latest photo....

Margaret - Do you not have to "cut it back" at all? Sounds like
a great orchard to have. I'm always in fear that I might have
killed mine when I cut it back, don't know if I've cut back too much
or too little, just keep my fingers crossed! :D

Lew has just come in and said "Look out the window!" OHhhh Noooo
it's snowing AGAIN!!!

Thanks, Phil , Lily & Elaine. We did both really enjoy same and
I gotta have my pickled onions!!!

With having lived in three countries it has certainly given me the
experience for cooking various dishes that we have really enjoyed
although, I would say, that primarily it is British that I fall
back on through the years - thank goodness for the Brit Shop!! :D

We have been away for a few days and going into the Sun Room
I was totally taken aback by this...............

Dorothy, you guessed right, it is PINK!! :D
That Ladybug that you see is one of the clasps you can buy to anchor the stem. :D
