Can't believe this news. It was only last month that he thanked us for his birthday greetings saying "thats my last one I refuse to have anymore staying at this age its old enough".

I only met Brunnyboy once and liked him a lot. The sort of man who would always be a "cheeky boy", that I could give a smack and say "behave yourself soft lad".
A lad you could have a laugh with but just as obviously a big and kind heart..

Tara Al, wind up merchant extraordinaire, may you find peace at last.

Our sincere condolences to Alan's children and grandchildren and to Barbara and all of his friends. A real loss to us all.

I first thought this was someone's idea of a sick joke. I can't believe Alan has gone; he was always so active. His views were controversial at times, but at least he never deviated from his opinions.

Rest in peace, Alan, your posts and especially your photo's will be missed.

Hi All, I don't normally post on the site, However I do read the forum every now and again, Alan was at my daughter's christening on Sunday (as my wife is his niece, Les's daughter) he was a picture of health and we are all in shock as much as anyone on here as it was sudden and unexpected, The autopsy is due to happen early next week and will reveal the cause of death.
