I did my degree in Liverpool between 1970 and 1973. I had digs at the home of Ted and Elsie Yacope at 73 Southport Road. I drank in the Mons and the Threlfall family were great friends. There were brothers Billy and Stan but it was Billy's son George who took me under his wing and I spent a lot of time with him and his friends both in the Mons and at Anfield. There was also David Threlfall who was about my age. I was 18 when I first came to Bootle. Anyone remember them and what has happened to them

played against them for years, Bob B on this site will know more info as he still meets
some of the mons lads
