Think them Buses were called Highbridges, the entrance on the back, the next lot that came along, i think were called Atlanteans, they were the straight fronted type with the door openings in the front.

Love black and white pictures, have many that my husband took 40 or more years ago, but they are of New York city streets and people.

My dad worked on the "corpy" as a conductor, i used to go with him especially during the holidays, I remember causing murder one time coming out of Seaforth terminus, he used to let me change the numbers at the front of the bus, we were on the No 61 route and i changed it so it was the No 16 from the front (it was back to front for me).
everyone was up in arms when the bus took the route for the 61, they all thought they were on the 16!!
