If you get one leg of a pair of tights. Fill it with barley straw and tie the end. Float it in the water. Stops the algae.
Good luck

After using the tights as Lynne suggested for your garden pond issues you can also wear it as a disguise and not look shadey when doing your shopping afterwards...

The best way to avoid pond algae is to put oxygenating pondweed in the pond.
It will take time but as the pond weed grows the water will eventually clear.
When the pondweed becomes too thick thin it out at the end of summer. Enjoy. Dave.

Sorry to hijack thread but it's pond related! Could anyone recommend something for blanket weed! It's attached itself to all my oxygen plants especially in the sun! Grrr :?
Cheers
