If you click on the pic Lynn it goes bigger and I can see a date Nov 7th 1904.

Thanks Paul and Invicta. They must have spent loads on money on those yachts. I don't remember the lake, it was drained by the time I went into Derby Park.

Came across the photo below and, on nothing more than a hunch, I think it may be the Bootle Model Yacht Club with their trophy
at Derby Park in 1906.
Feel free to disagree.
Walton Hall Park and Coronation Park also had thriving model yacht clubs.
Coronation Park's club survived until 2019.
1911 Members of the Bootle Miniature Yacht Club: H.Allen, G.Nobilett, J.Green, E.Motteram, J.Spence, C.Nimmo.
1911 members of the Derby Park Miniature Yacht Club: D.Houston, J.Taylor, C.Ogilvy Jnr., J.Wilkinson, W.Kerren.
Bought on ebay and posted by Bob Hamo on another thread. I've edited and reposted it.
1911June 20 Derby Park Garden Party for King George V and Queen Mary.
The date of the party is significant because two days later King George and Queen Mary were crowned at Westminster Abbey.
Invitation to the coronation below.
