Early view of Field Lane, pre 'Comet' Store days, good one Mack, enjoyed that!

Absolutely brilliant and so nostalgic. I could almost see myself as a small boy being taken on the overhead by my wonderful docker dad and years later walking up Field Lane to my fiances home.

I well remember the mindless arsonist attacks in Seaforth....we never did catch the perpetrator of so many such attacks around the overhead area circa 1956.

Thanks Mack. Finally a real piece of Bootle on the BB site.

Absolutely fantastic.

This was when Litherland was part of Lancashire, all the police officers are from Lancashire County, not Liverpool or Bootle.
