Me and my friends had some good laughs there in the late 60`s, the Stella Maris priest asked for some girls to come and dance with the visiting sailors, mid week, skint and knowhere to go off we popped to the Stella...we loved it, no hanky panky, no drinking alcohol and straight home when it finished of a night but it was smashing. We got to meet lads from far and wide, have a few fantas and lots of dancing, happy days.

One funny memory is of the lad from Durban who took out his gold false teeth to show us, he was so proud of them...
