The picture of the prefabs in South Park is interesting. I remember playing there in the 70's and seeing all the old roads still marked out in places and the patchwork patterns of different flagstones, tarmac etc and wondering what had been there before.

Geez Teddy,I played there in the 40's

Our prefab was one of the last to get torn down.Destroyed a whole caring community so as they could make a couple of basketball courts

I was knocked down on the zebra crossing corner of Merton road and Stanley Road going to collect my brother Les from nursery.mi woke up in Alder Hey Hospital. I was knocked down by a lorry from Bramwells. 1962/3.
