This is just the tip of the iceberg Dan.
Aside from this development there is further
1400 homes to be built in and around Maghull and Lydiate.
So a total of roughly 2300 new houses all to be built on grade 1 agricultural land!!!!
Equate that figure at 4 persons per household 10,000 extra people. With no extra facilities such as schools which are over subscribe as it is, no extra doctors or dentists.
The other thing is no improved infrastructure with a potential extra 5000 cars on the roads.
It's going to be a nightmare.

Getting to be a nightmare here in Abergele, what was once a village you could say it is now a small town although more housing than shops, houses being built everywhere around, one surgery to cope with all the extra people, how the drains etc. are also going to cope as there is always streets being dug up to replace the very old drains now plus sewage problems eventually I'm sure, and beautiful lands built on. Still love living here as we have the sea on our doorstep etc. but the traffic! bad now and getting worse! (glad I have a bus pass!) :D

I've never looked at the differential, but I think the new build price between a Maghull green field

and a Bootle brown field may sway the decision on choice of site for development.

The link below is for the 2016 planning application for the site.

The archaeological report is worth downloading, as it gives an account of the site going back to Yates' 1786 map.
