Hi Roy David Jones VC was born and lived in Everton, father David Jones and mother Jessie Ginachio his siblings, Marguerite, Joseph, William, John, Samuel and Walter. 1911 residing at 29 Aigburth street Edge Hill and apprenticed to J Blake and company coach builders. Records exist to show service as a boy soldier for a period of 4 years 8/5/09-7/6/13 this maybe in a 'terrier' capacity??. He married Elizabeth Dorothy Doyle at St Nathaniels Edge Hill 2/5/1915 there appears to be no issue from this. Elizabeth remarried William J Woosey. Hope it helps.

Hi Lilly, Thanks for your work on this and it looks as if he is not a distant relation but needs to be better known anyway. An awful lot of Jones' around the area. Sorry a bit late in replying but tied up in the Heritage weekend activities. Roy
