Does anybody remember my Grandparents hardware shop in either Linecar Road or Altcar Road Bootle? My Grandfathers name was Charles William Smee. My maternal family name was Blackburn and lived in Guion Road. Does any body have any memories or information regarding either the shop or family members?

Hi Bobhamo ,thanks for replying im just a little confused ,you have put (dec)after Charles William Smee, does that refer to deceased or December ,both would fit in with what little info we have Charles William was deceased in 1939 when my parents married ,so do you know which Charles was in Guion road in 1949 and which of his sons you also have (dec)on them in guion road workshop,i know that at some point my father Garfield Smee had a workshop in that area, like i said we have very little information .and would like to know a bit more. many thanks Julie smee.

My Granddad Albert Robinson was born 13/02/1892 at No. 7 Guion Rd
and lived with his Mother's Parents James & Elizabeth Clark till 1901 when his own Parents moved to 22 Camden Rd Bootle.
There seems to be a Gap in the Terrace where No.7 should have been not sure if it was Blitz damage ?

Hi folks,
I've moved this over to our "Looking For Section". I've also left it in "Chat About Anything" too.
