My Parents and I lived at 134 Bedford Rd 1950 to 1953 with my Mum's Auntie Mary McKay and Margaret & Irene McKay.
Now tracing my Ancestry I'm trying to find out what happened to them and when they left.
Found them there on 1958 Voters. Any help appreciated.

Hi Alamo,

Can you give us some more info. What ages would the McKay's have been in the 1958 elec roll. Was Mary McKay married at the time, maiden name etc, who were Irene and Margaret were they Mary's daughter's?

Thanks

Jan

Thanks Jan,
What I know is that Mary Mc Kay was born 15/06/1909 as Mary Brethel Williams

On 25/12/1929 she married John Mc Kay who was born 1900 out of wedlock as John Redmond they married at St Pauls Kirkdale.

Irene was Born Sept 1930

After the War John seems to have done a runner.

Leaving his wife and kids to pay the rent.

Hence My Mum and Dad and I moving in during 1950 to help share the rent.

No dates of birth on other Daughters.

Mary McKay died 29/10/2000 at Orrell Grange Nursing Home Daughter surname Margaret Dora Cassidy of Maghull was informant.

Hi Alamo,

I found this marriage registered 1966

Name:
Margaret D McKay
Date of Registration:
Oct-Nov-Dec 1966
Registration district:
Bootle
Inferred County:
Lancashire
Spouse:
Andrew G Cassidy
Volume Number:
10b
Page Number:
1348

I think Margaret D was born 1931 and possible birth reg for Irene in Jan-Mar 1935 Mother maiden name Williams there isn't a birth reg in 1930 for Irene Mckay with mother Williams

There are two births registered for this couple, but because of the time frame and privacy reasons I will PM you the details.

Hi Alamo,

Hope you got my PM,

Try this site for Elec Rolls, it is a pay site, but it doesn't cost as much as some other sites. http://product.whitepages.co.uk/package ... 1476131290

Thanks Lily, that's them before moving to Bedford Rd

My Mum Lily May Robinson lived at 5 Malcolm Grove with her Mother Margaret Ann Robinson nee McKay ( John's Elder Step Sister) till they were Blitzed out on 22/12/1940

John was born Redmond in 1900 on Birth Cert and shown on 1901 Census as Redmond but as McKay on 1911 Census
His Mother never married Redmond and was a McKay widow from 1897 till her death.
