Does anybody have any information as to where Balliol Terrace was located in around 1889. I believe it may have been off Balliol Road but I am not sure.

many thanks.

Hi Ann,

Balliol Terrace was off Derby Road, adjacent to Miller's Bridge, The Old Toll Bar Pub was on the corner.

Thanks a million Jan. How quick was that. My grandfather's brother or I suppose my great uncle lived there when he was christened which was at St Paul's Church North Shore. I think this was in Brasenose Road .

Thanks again Jan.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the photo it's great. I think maybe Balliol Terrace suffered in the blitz, or was it just demolished. Do you have any maps of old Bootle from around that area? Just to get an idea where Bootle ends and Liverpool begins.

Thanks again Tony for your help much appreciated.
