Thank you for taking a pic of my old house,
It hasn't changed much since 1966 when we left
Bootle to come back to the Isle of Man where
I was born.
I have a brother Tony who is a year older than me and
went to school at St Joans.
perhaps someone will remember him also.
Once again thank you so much for the pic it brings back
many happy memories.
Sylvia

Its a pity Sylvia that you returned to the I O M
at a early age ,you would have had a great time in the early 60s in the bootle area
you are in the age group of a lot of are members
but unless your friends are members of the site its nearly 50 years ago
but i am glad you made a new life on the I O M

You do tend to loose touch with school friends when you move a distance.
I still have family in and around Bootle, and we do catch up occasionally.
I have had a very enjoyable life in the Isle of Man.
I will keep up my search who knows what may turn up.
Thank you for your help.

Hiya Sylvia and welcome to the forum.
Me and my family lived at no 19 Peel, I went to St.Joan's and St.James's and left in 1964. The family lived there until about 1997.

Have remembered a couple of the boys names from my class at school (Mr. Breen's class)
Tommy Dry, Fred Connors,
A few more of the girls names, Barbara Lamb, Sheila Burgess. Also Joan Nugent, From Boswell Street, and Joan Fleming, from Gray Street.
I had close connection with the Berry family from Burns Street, Marie, & Tommy.
My grand parents and uncle were Connolly's from Shelly Street.
Hoping this my jog a few memories.

Hi Sylvia, I was in your brother Tony's class at St James's. Ask him if he remembers Graham Young and Harry Matthews.

Hiya John, I remember them as well, if I’m not mistaken was it Graham, who was a golf fanatic? and that’s going back to the early 60s when none of us had a clue about golf in those days.
Cheers Joe.
