There was a huge big bang on the streets of Linacre Road, Litherland earlier.

A road was blocked off following a "big bang".
Emergency services were called to Linacre Road in Litherland at around 7.40pm on Saturday, January 27. It followed reports of an "explosion" sound.
When Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service arrived at the scene they found a fire had been put out on arrival. A spokesperson for the force confirmed the source of the "big bang" was a "possible blown cable".
One person who lives nearby said they "felt the ground shake". A photo taken by an eyewitness showed a large black mark on the pavement. Merseyside Police have blocked part of Linacre Road off while the source of the fire is found.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service left the scene at 8.48pm. Merseyside Police and Scottish Power remain at the scene.

Imagine being on the spot when it all kicked off and the pavement apparently exploded?
Scary.
Luckily there are no reported injuries so far and all is well and from what I've heard to date and no humans or animals were hurt so far from what has been reported.
