Spring heeled Jack

Postby marknjen » Sun Oct 01, 2017 11:01 pm

Hi,
I was recently researching the slums of Scotland road and came across this story of the
Victorian character from London, his name was mentioned as being in merseyside too! so I dug more and found one of his final apearances was infact up here in merseyside around the Everton area! I asked my dad about him and he said
" of course everyone's heard of Spring Heeled Jack! Don't know if he was true but we know the tales!" The description of him is amazing...I wonder why a decent movie with decent actors was never made?
Cheers
Mark

Hiya Mark, Spring Heeled Jack, was an entity in English folklore of the Victorian era. The first claimed sighting of Spring Heeled Jack was in 1837. Later sightings were reported all over Great Britain and were especially prevalent in suburban London, the Midlands and Scotland. :)

I do hope you’re not too disappointed.
Cheers Joe.
