In memory of Sammi

In honour of Bob's dog, which passed away, may I suggest members post pictures of their pets, past and present?

We can't have pets as we're both allergic to the dander. However, we have been adopted by a black cat and she has slowly ingratiated herself into our lives.

At first we fed her outside once a day, now it's three times a day. We've also bought her flea lotion and she gets brushed more or less every day. We are now letting her in the house and it sits on Rae's chair with her.

It come back to bite me on the backside today though, because I let her in this morning and have had an allergic reaction, sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes and general lethargy.

Anyway, here's a picture of TC (the cat) we wouldn't name her because she is not ours officially. Mind you, Rae says no one ever owns a cat. :D

Phil - I'm still searching for a photo of Toby but found our second pet, "Sasha"
a Keeshond, that we had for only seven years. I was babysitting a friend's
little boy and he found Sasha to be a very comfortable cushion to watch his
favorite program on the television. Sasha was very accommodating that way! :D

That's a lovely dog, Patricia. I've never heard of a Keeshond, where did they originate from?

Please do not think I am butting in Patricia but I know lots about that breed. My good friend from work
used to breed them and I have been at the birth of many of the pups.
They are Dutch Barge dogs but they originated in Germany. They are super intelligent,do not need lots of room,
very easy to train an all round fantastic family dog.His breeding female was called Keisha and she was
the best baby sitter you have ever seen.Just like your photo Patricia his two children used to use Keisha as a pillow, back rest
and something soft and furry to snuggle up to.She used to sleep outside the childrens bedroom door and woe betide anybody she did not know
try to get past her.She took on a raccoon that got too close to the kids one evening and believe me a sow raccoon is one of the most miserable, nasty
animals you could meet especially when she is in heat. Beautiful ,loyal and friendly dogs.

Cant put a photo on of my dogs, blame photobucket! so this little poem struck a cord with me after they passed away. I have always kept it.

FOUR FEET

I have done what most men do,
And pushed it out of my mind;
But I can't forget, if I wanted do,
Four Feet trotting behind.

Day after day, the whole day through -
Wherever my road inclined -
Four Feet said, " I am coming with you!"
And trotted along behind.

Now I must go by some other round -
Which I shall never find -
Somewhere that does not carry the sound,
Of Four Feet trotting behind.
