Country star Glen Campbell dies at 81 RIP

Rhinestone Cowboy singer Glen Campbell has died at the age of 81 after "a long and courageous battle" with Alzheimer's disease, his family said.

Sad news.
I was lucky enough to see him live (on the Empire back in the 70s).

Born and raised in Romeo Street, later Lambeth Walk, Jersey Close, Garden Place, Hawthorne Rd, Gonville Rd now Netherton

That is sad news I remember him singing on the radio with his father as a young boy
in the days before TV...
Poor man Altzimer s is a crual disease. ..

You may think I'm cruel for saying this, but I'm glad he's at peace and out of the living hell, that is Alzheimer's. Thanks for all the great music Glen.

thats a big AREHEY :cry: made some songs galveston/ wichita linesman /true grit/ nine stone cowboy/my favourite a lady like you etc / there is a program on tonight 9 o clock radio merseyside he was one of the best session guitarist in nashville think he started with the beach boys a good actor too R.I .P GLENN thanks paulmack i love country music

another legend passes away,one of my all time favourites,WHERES THE PLAYGROUND SUZIE is my fave glen song followed by GALVESTON(first time i went there when i was in the merchant navy i sang this song on the beach there with a gang of high school kids).graham :( :( :(
