Captain Noel Chavasse VC and Bar

For those people who do not know of him, he was the son of the Bishop of Liverpool.

August 4th marked 100 years to the day that this soldier fell in battle.

Amongst other achievements, he won the Victoria Cross twice!!

Well done Phil for the reminder of the 100th anniversary of a good man a true hero. The Chavasse family gave a lot more than some realise. of their seven children 4 sons and 2 daughters served,

They've named a ward after him at the Walton Centre at Fazakerley Hospital.

there is a brilliant book about this heroic man free on book hub.book hub is a brilliant site for free books to down load to kindles.you get an e-mail with daily free or reduced books.well worth a try.i have downloaded hundreds of free books .history is my thing.some days no books are my thing but at least twice a week i find something.graham...
