Next time you come up you should coincide it with a visit to Denton. (http://WWW.PUGBITZ.COM)

Can't help with the car tax but small service is £110.00 a major service is £260.00 and either includes FREE MOT anytime you want it.

Tyres about half the price you have paid.

MOT up here anywhere is £35.00 at the most.

Makes sense....travel fees covered in the saving.

AND a free lunch for you and her???

Most of the other unexpected may well be covered on the home insurance??

You're driving the wrong car and living in the wrong town Ken!
H's tax on a VW Blue Motion is £30 a year and last month his service and 2 new tyres cost less than £300.

Your day sounds the opposite to a lovely day I had last week; took back all the things I bought pre-holiday that I didn't want or didn't fit and came home £100 better off....... I know I was only getting my own money back but it did feel nice :D

Full service on our chariot yesterday and N/S washer jet replaced - all for less than £180.

Netherton Motors on Bridle Way - I honestly can't fault 'em!

Things are more expensive down here , no doubt but locked into the service plan and the tyres were replacing as is . I did check around and all similar price.
Thanks for the offer Ernie, one day we'll do that lunch, we've talked about it for long enough but as always time is against us when we are up North.
Regards

Hey Bernie.

You should check that you are getting genuine stuff and also what they have done.. We can do a service for what you paid but it would have to be spurious parts and we can't recommend or give any warranty on non genuine stuff.. But you are happy so stay with them. as a good garage is like gold dust.

Treat your car is like your body....take care of it and it will take care of you. We have an11 plate 1.9 Berlingo with 285000 miles on and it purrs.

I saw my Doctor this morning for my annual MOT. Pleased to say I passed and my lungs are 120% and compare to those of a fit man 22 years younger. Thanks to an athletic life.

Just need my heart to keep up ....I asked my Surgeon why he charged 14k for a heart bypass when my son can change a fuel pump for less that £50.

Reply...."I have to do it without stopping the engine ".

My service last year was £165 which included a free MOT at 06 Vauxhall main agent. Have to take it to a main agent to keep the lifetime warranty up to date.
44,000 miles and its 7 years old.

Our friends from Bootle staying with us just now.
Billy was shocked at £4.25 for a pint of local bitter, he was further shocked that it had no head and was flat dead in the glass. Ken

Someone is taking the p*ss as well as selling it, Ken. :D Bitter, in the Lion and unicorn in waterloo is about half the price. I suppose if people are prepared to pay those prices, the brewery will charge them. Although I bet you could find a cheap pint in Kent of you wanted to.
