Thanks, Matt. I wouldn't have got it without the clue.

I do know the answer to this as I have the movie in question in my VERY substantial
collection.Maybe an explanation why I have soooo many films.
My SIL gave me all his VHS films when DVD's became the new genre then when BluRay became the thing to
watch he gave me all his DVD's and Walmart sells DVDs for as low as $4.At last count I have 237 DVD's and 6 bankers
boxes full of VHS tapes.
I have to let this run a while Filsgreen see if anyone else has a twisted sense of humour

Hi Matt you and I share a love of all things PYTHON as well as other out there comics so my answer is Monty Pythons Holy Grail.

Only know three golf movies "Tin Cup" "Caddyshack" and "Happy Gilmore"
So with the language I have to say Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore.

That's the one Matt.

I'm not a big fan of Sandler but that movie is pretty good to be honest.

Over to you.

Thanks Shelagh; I've never watched it. Isn't Rosebud the name over the gate of his home?

No Phil, not the name on Gate, you're getting confused with "Xanadu"
Rosebud was the name of Kane's childhood sleigh (in the film version) also the last word he uttered!
But as the film was based on Newspaper magnet William Randolph Hearst, who was involved with wannabe actress Marion Davies, (rosebud was his pet name for a certain part of Marion's anatomy) such a scandal at the time
This being the reason for a complete ban on any mention of the 'Citizen Kane' film by all W.R.H. owned newspapers
All very interesting Phil..considered to be best film ever made, at the time!!

Yes Phil, spot on with K in gate, representing name Kane, massive estate - Xanadu, forgotten how big it was..Randolph Hearst estate - real name San Simeon..complete with zoo and Hearst castle..think it's still in use today, mainly for visitors and historical purposes!
Rosebud was a little model of Kane's childhood sleigh, Kane's last word - rosebud!

love this thread, brings back some great memories of the good old films

Have to tell you I know the answer but we are leaving for Las Vegas
in the morning and I will not be taking my touch pad with me just too
much hassle with the new flight regulations for entering the USA.

Matt - Happy travelling, you & your Family have a wonderful time in Las Vegas.
Would heartily recommend making a reservation for "High

buffet I have ever seen in my life, it just goes on and on and on! :D
