Think Wenger has lost the plot Eddy. De Boer, Bilic or him for the chop first ? K

Looks like Sakho finally on his way to Palace for £26 million. Good business considering they paid £18 million for him. :D K

Thank goodness the "transfer window" is over . Best business done ? I 'd say Pickford to the Blues considering the talent and how comparatively little money involved. :D Ken
ps. Still time for Coutinho to Spain, their window closes tonight. K

I got a message yesterday saying Coutinho actually signed for Barca 2 weeks ago (£140m) but it was agreed no announcement would be made until today so other clubs wouldn't hike up the prices of any Liverpool targets. Medical went through and it was agreed he wouldn't play for the Reds again. It also said Barca were to enter into a relationship with LFC whereby they would notify us first if anyone was leaving them.

Probably rumour and conjecture but these days, who knows????

No late deal from Spain for Coutinho. Does Klopp play him, who drops out ? Nice problem to have for the manager. :D Ken

Barca say LFC wanted Euros 200 million for Couthino on the last day of the window.
That's about £187 million in Sterling.
Personally I'd have taken anything North of £100 milion providing I was on 10% commission.
I wish  Ken

I had the City game on record but it watched it now as it's peeing down.
Dreadful , no excuses. Klopp is blind to defensive inadequacies and until that is addressed we'll win nothing. Ken

I think Mane had the right to go for it Phil. Even that wimp Lineker said it was no red card. K

Had a right to fly through the air without control of his leading boot? I assume Mane has got spatial awareness and that he knew that the goalie was running toward him. Therefore it was a reckless action, without any consideration of the player. Even if he did not mean to hurt the player, Mane would have known that his boot could come into contact with the player. Ok mate, we'll agree to disagree, but if the boot (pardon the pun) was on the other foot; I think some LFC fans and certainly Herr Klopp, would have had a different opinion :D

Not those of us who played in the JOC, Phil. Most Goalies expected to get flattened and knew how to give it out. Ken

I don't get Klopp's thinking on defenders. You're playing the top attacking side in the league and you rest key central defenders. Young Arnold got brought down to earth, he was exposed too often and Klavan was totally out of his depth with no protection from midfield or Moreno.
I know there is a European match this week but still don't understand why he doesn't play his first team for such a tough game as City  Ken

Yellow card at best, why did klopp take Salah off when Otiende had been booked after 10mins, we should have been feeding Salah for him to take Otiende on. Klavan not good enough nor Henderson. We got what we deserved I'm afraid. :(

Looks like Woy going to pop up again at Palace after they sacked Frank De Boer. The lad never got a chance, he inherited a poor squad and has had a losing start to the season, big shame really. Who's next ? Ken

None of the ex football player pundits would have sent Mane off.
On looking at it ten times I would have...on seeing it as the ref did in a fraction of a second then I would definitely have sent him off.

If he did it in the street it would be GBH.

(I wrote this before I read the earlier posts on the subject)

The goalie tried to nut him Ernie. :D He was outside the D, Mane's foot was up but Ederson's head was down.

I played in the JOC with a very successful, unbeaten, team and saw some very bad tackles but can't recall an incident similar to this.

I played semi pro with Liverpool, Burscough, Marine and Maghull (Not necessarily in that order) with the same memory.

I refereed at pro level and never saw anything as bad.

I acknowledge your opinion but did have the advantage of viewing it several times, as did we all.

Just my opinion Ken. Can't say it is through being a blue as I did actually send an Everton player off at Goodison for much less than that and there was no TV and no complaints.

If they are making an appeal that would solve it. If they don't appeal that would also solve it.

One match does not make a season but the fact is both teams were outplayed by much better sides last weekend.
