Oh I remember that summer Bern, I was a stay at home young mum and free to enjoy the sunshine
You, poor lad, must have been doing your O levels in that heat
Here's a nice little early one that we don't hear too often;

Spot on Bee - that was the year I left school!
Great choice of tune - as you say, not often heard that one!
Keith - spot on again... certainly with a twist!

Great one Bernie. Sheila and I had just moved from Tahsis so we were enjoying listening to different radio stations other than the CBC(similar to the BBC Home service)
Where we lived no television, radio service only at night time and newspapers delivered at least two days late.We thought we where in heaven hearing all this "new" music. We
even got to see the Olympic Games from Montreal .Love your Fab Four Friday thread.

Nice one Matt, glad you like the thread - feel free to post a tune if the mood takes you.
This week's effort...
The Beatles didn't release this one as a single in the UK, but The Overlanders made it to number one in January 1966 with their version.

Nice on Keith.
Just spotted a post on The Beatles official Facebook page that the premier of Hard Day's Night at the Odeon on London Road was on this day in 1964 - how's that for a fortunate Fab Four Friday fact?

When your favourite country artist (Keith Urban) covers a song by your favourite band, what's not to love - and John Mayer as a little bonus?
This was at Clapton's 'Crossroads Guitar Festival' in 2013

Hi Bernie, guess who is playing at "Sunfest" in the Cowichan Valley today and tomorrow?
Whole family except for Sheila and me are going to hear Keith Urban. Valley is FULL of cowboy and cowgirl types.Girls in tiny shorts with cowboy boots on and the
guys with their Stetsons and jean jackets. My CD player self destructs if you play country and western.50's, 60's and a tiny bit of 70's rock only!!!

Keith is more of the modern style country artist - I'm not a fan of all those heartbroken cowboy ballads myself but this guy is good.
