Bee - I never 'got the joke' re Amy Winehouse. I know she's very highly thought of but I'm afraid not by yours truly.

Keith - Happy anniversary to you and Lian; good choice (and the song selection's ok too! ) Have a great day!

As Fredie Mercury died on this date in 1991 I've gone more for 'Fab Four Freddie' this week.

Strange but effective mash-up of Beatles and Queen that somehow works.

To mark the 16th anniversary of George Harrison's passing on Wednesday, here's the brilliant Peter Frampton and his rendition of George's classic!

Suspect Keith may enjoy this one??

Great cover Bern I saw Frampton do this a few years ago in Manchester, a very underrated guitarist, check out his version of Soundgarden`s, Black Hole Sun, good quality video as well.

Terrible video, Bernie, looks like they couldn't be a$#ed to pretend to play their instruments, just dissing the fans.

In the week his knighthood is announced it would be rude not to feature a tune from Sir Ringo.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXg1AxBXN5g

By the way, Ron Howard's Beatles documentary movie (8 Days A Week - The Touring years) is premiered on C4 tonight at 21:00 if anyone hasn't seen it.

Well worth a viewing - must admit I came away feeling sorry for the 4 of them given the life on the road they endured.

Bit of a strange one today to mark what would be Long John Baldry's 77th birthday (D July 2005). A vintage clip of him on a Beatles TV special with the Fab Four on backing vocals. Sorry for poor quality.

Excellent Beatles cover to remember the late Robert Palmer on what would have been his 69th birthday (died Sep 2003)

Just found this and thought fellow Fab Four fans would enjoy.

Mick Jagger inducting The Beatles into the hall of fame back in 1988 - very good to listen to.
