Sicily it is Ken, in terms of area and population. Second largest is Sardinia and Cyprus is 3rd and surprisingly much smaller. Over to you.

the only mersea island i know of is off the coast of essex,my two boys were born in colchester while i was stationed there.famous for its oyster festival if my nemory is correct..that makes the sea the north sea, graham..
