Pop music teaser - Bernie R

Postby Bernie R » Sat Jan 28, 2012 6:57 pm

I'm looking for a song with 5 words (although you may think it's only 4) in the title sung by an artiste with 2 words in their name.

The initial letter of the 5 title words and the 2 in the name are all the same letter.

In case that doesn't make sense imagine if Adam Ant had sang a song called Another Apple And An Arrow - that's the kind of thing.

It's a well known song and I'll let you know that it's from the 60's.

Tell you what, whoever gets this one right should set a new question - how does that sound?

What about "I'M RELATED TO A LIGHTWEIGHT" another '60's song.
Can you name the song and who recorded it?

That must have taken you all of ten seconds Lily

Your turn next; good luck It's difficult to set a question when you have to appeal to a wide range of people who may have varied taste and knowledge of music - and also not to be too cryptic :?

Well done Bee - Tiny Tim it was. The 4 or 5 word thing of course depends on 'tiptoe' or 'tip toe'.

Lily - well done as well - come on, your turn now! :D

It was the "4 or 5 word thing" that made me sure I had the right answer

Bee, is it original or is it something that could have been re-released in the nineties, ie rocket man, i know that is not the answer but it would help if only the year, (decade) it was first a hit was given in the clue, if you get my drift. JJC.

John James - original to the nineties although it's possible there are other songs with the same name by different artistes seen that happen a fair few times. If you get the same name by another singer/band that should be acceptable.
I thought this was an easy one but if you want another clue - it got to number 2!

off the top of my head Bern;
NOTHING'S REAL WITHOUT LOVE - REBECCA FERGUSON?

Can I ask that you give us a decade the song was released and as JJC asked last night what about whether it's been released more than once?

A fair shout Bee re the decade :)

Rebecca is far too recent for my latest one which hails from the 60's (don't recall it being covered by anyone else although I think it was re-released in the 70s)
