I can only think of Games without frontiers by Peter Gabriel. The other one I thought of was Kings of the wild frontier by Adam and the ants, but that was released in January 1980

All i can suggest is 'I Am I Said' as it's one of Neil's and features the line - New York's home, but it ain't min no more.

Can't connect that to Leslie though :?

I can honestly say that one is worse than one of mine, Tommy.

You asked us to name a record connected to a person with a middle name Leslie from anywhere. Stating it was a philibuster from the 70s.

A Philibuster from the 70s was associated with the Philadelphia sound.
For example, TSOP by MFSB, Wake up everybody by Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes or Nights over Egypt by The Jones Girls.

The Boy from New York City by the British doowap band, Darts, is about as far away from the Philly sound you could get. The Adlibs did the original in 1965, but it was considered Doowap then.

Not one of your Best, mate :D

PS I saw the Darts, four times at the Empire.

Phil ,

You totally missed the association of Philibuster .

Nothing whatever to do with the Philadelphia sound.

It was a reference to YOU !!

And all your obscure clues

And it worked......................................... :D
