It should be to be honest - as I said, it's a question of definition.

The last cryptic in danger of falling off the page...time for some random guesses
Willie Nelson (Wil Lee being secluded and place called Nelson Hollow)
Willie Colon
( Colon - hollow tube)
Glen Campbell
Glen is secluded and Camp Bell = hollow
And a singer called Nick Cave (thinking of nick as a prison I.e.secluded and Cave - hollow)
This question is going to run and run..more clues please Bern

OK - I've tortured you all long enough with that last one.
To absolutely give it away I'll tell you that it's just a one word answer.

Nearly a month goes by and no cryptics
Let's see how these go down - bands/groups...
1. Two things used for laundry result in metallic sound –
2. Lots and lots of different writing fluid –
3. Sound like the seabirds are on drugs –
4. Inescapable companions (but not in the dark) –
5. We hear of a variety event in front of a desert valley or two -
6. Insect doesn’t keep a secret –
7. Grand is small –
8. A revelation? – Most certainly not! -
9. Codename for something Bond would shave his door with? –
10. Artist backs up in big number. -

Chuffed with that Bern
Three out of five..not bad, considering there's only Bee and myself playing!
Thought "Flock Of Seagulls" sounded a bit like seabirds on drugs
and Bee's "INXS"
sounding very much like lots of writing fluid
Away we go with guess for..
No.9 JEFFERSON AIRPLANE

We all seem to have hit a wall on the last 3 Bern; any chance of extra clues?
Re: cryptic's

OK gals - I hear ya
7 Throw an "A" in at the very beginning of the clue.
9 What is Bond and what would he use (for that task)?
10 Not an artist's name; this 'artist' is a commonly used device in cryptic crossword clues.

Just as befuddled as before
but thanks for clues Bern
A grand is small - can't get past £1000 ?
Bond is a secret agent - what would he use? - code name - transport - disguise
Not an artist's name - could be an anagram?
Have to give some thought to extra clues later..(out all day
)
