Sorry folks, another one of my faux pas.
Been using the character name instead of the actor.
Ah well it kept your brain cells working for a while.

I think I'll take a rest for a bit.

Sorry again

Ahhhhggggg! Bill! That was the first one I solved and had to check that it was the character not the actor's name, got it stuck in my head for days! Never mind, it's good to know that even YOU get it wrong sometimes and it did make us think!
Thanks Bill, for another good set. Enjoy your break!

Sorry Shelagh, both wrong. I think Herman needs to become a 'Hermit' as he does not feature in any of the answers :)

Good guesses Shelagh, but all are incorrect I am afraid. I am beginning to think that these are a bit too cryptic, even Bee hasn't had a go at any.

Early days yet Bill, answers will come flooding soon, can't believe how tricky they are :|
Good set of cryptic's though, enjoyed reading about famous actors we've never heard of
All in all, possible to match quite a few names to the cryptic's, but still be wrong!!
Meanwhile: this contestant will continue guessing (well at least until one is correct)

No 7. Victor Spinetti - half vitamin = VI c T or - changed like ET = Spi N ETTI :) hope that makes sense Bill!

No 10. Claude Rains - force gushes = cloud rains :? (see what I mean re possibilities)

As for the dancing Robin...well..he'll give up long before I do

Poor thing Bee, have every sympathy :( migraines are so debilitating, used to suffer terrible with them, would last for three days...natural remedies such as tea and coffee are o.k. caffeine helps to eradicate the pain..so too does marijuana, but won't be advocating that remedy :) need you to be fully compos mentis for these cryptic's

Another guess Bill...
No 4. Ned Beaty - Ned from Aberdeen - rendezvous - british tea - B.T. = Beaty :?

Hi Bee, sorry to hear about the migraine, suffered with it myself since childhood, but have gradually grown out of it. I only get an attack about once every two years now. My remedy for it was always the same, soak a handkerchief in vinegar and place it on your forehead in a dark room. Worked 100% of the time for me.

Shelagh, sorry, wrong answer.
Don't overthink the answers, they are all there in the clues.
6. Is the easiest, any regular cryptic crossword fan would probably have solved this in minutes. You have already had this person previously, but with a different clue.

Best of luck

Arrived at no 6. By the car ferries to Germany - letters taken from name..yes no stopping me :D
Try again with Brendan Fraser - Brendan - a drinking place in Germany - Brendan could be a her if rephrased :)
(Probably some name like Claude Rains or Steiger) have to go now, so no time to stick around to find out...hope to see a big fat CORRECT later on :D

Will give thought to that dancing Robin while I'm out

Just noticed recent answer..well done to Bernie..hip pip hurrayyyy
