Thanks for that Bernie. I used to have a shop in College Road and I used to play his tapes a lot in the shop. It was amazing how many people asked who it was singing, as they liked his voice.

Another Phil Spector song, takes me back to the times when boys and girls would be singing in unison, on way home from the dance :D

"When it's cold outside show the world the warmth of your smile" what a beautiful lyric.

Just rescued this thread from page 13 of the forum to post a tune from the late 60's.

On this date in 1934 notorious American bank robbers, turned cop killers, Bonnie and Clyde were ambushed by police and killed in Black Lake, Louisiana.

Here's Georgie Fame's musical take on their story...

Very appropriate for us today Bernie :D
It’s our 48 Wedding Anniversary and Bonnie & Clyde film was our first date. I worked in town and we met under a “statue exceedingly bare” before going into the pictures

A little curio for you all.

Was looking on YouTube for the Bonanza theme tune to feature as my 'Tuesday Theme Tune' on Facebook and came across this 'sung' version of it by Lorne Greene (who, incidentally, died on this date in 1987).

Had a listen and thought, hell, why should I be the only one to suffer

Enjoy (????)...

Sad to hear of the passing of Chas Hodges - a man of fine musical pedigree in that he'd played with many rock and roll greats before finding his own niche in the gorblimey 'novelty act' that was Chas & Dave. One of my regrets is not seeing C&D live - especially as they appeared at a Mathew Street Festival and, if I remember rightly, supported the mighty Quo on one of the tours I didn't make.
R.I.P Chas - a proper geezer!

Nice one Bern. I saw Chas twice but without Dave. Both times he was playing with Heads, Hands & Feet, once at the Stadium in Liverpool the other was a free concert at Hyde Park when they were the support for Humble Pie.

R.I.P. Chas

At parties one of my friends always plays his guitar and sings this John Denver song, which everybody loves.
