Graham - What a wonderful photo - you really get the impact
when same is enlarged!
While down in South Carolina we visited " Brookgreen Gardens"
which is a must if you are ever there. The various birds were
not afraid at all and just sat on the railings looking at you. We
should have labelled the photos but you know how that goes.
Do you have any idea of the name of this bird?

Thanks, Graham re the "Purple Heron" which photo I have duly marked
for correct identification in the future! Lovely photo of the "Swan Goose"
We have a lot of "Canadian Geese" here which I love to hear calling
to each other while in flight!
Sunday was such a lovely day we went down to Fort Monroe and took
a walk along the Prom. The river was busy with various cargo boats
and what we thought was a "Fleet Oiler" that Lew said refills other ships
It was neat hearing them blow the ships' horns at each other as they were
passing.
