Hi, l'm knew to this site, l lived at 21, Florida st in one of the two prefabs, my dad Fred Peace, my mum Millie and my brother Freddy, we lived opposite the Crummie family (Chris changed his name to Curtis, the drummer with the Searchers) Mr Crummie always teased me on my name Jennifer, does anyone recall my family, would love to hear from anyone, cheers.

Hello Henry, your surname must be Mullens, l do vaguely recall your name, my dad was a docker and he did keep a few pigs on his alotment at Seaforth. Do you happen to have any photos of Florida St, best wishes Jenny

Yes my name is Mullen and like yourself not many people had a camera those days and unfortunately do not have any photos of Florida Street but you never know maybe some members of our site may have some but i do remember the street being on Scene at 6-30 on I.T.V about 1955-58 maybe someone can point us in the right way to find both photies and the film.

Hi Henry, do you remember who lived in the other prefab in Florida St, was there a boy called Eric Hunter and family, Mr Crummie who lived opposite me always use to tease me on my name Jennifer, take care Jenny.

Not sure of another prefab but i know Annie Carey moved into your prefab when you left

Jimmy do you remember another prefab in Florida St, further up, on the same side as mine, l am sure a Eric Hunter or Porter lived there, or did l dream it!, Henry does'nt recall another prefab, can you help, thanks Jenny.

There was only 1 prefab in Florida Street but there was 2 next to each other in Jersy Street

Hello Jimmy, there wasnt a prefab next to mine, we had a big garden surounding our prefab and then a house either side, l think the other prefab was further along. thanks anyway for your relpy, and to Bobhamo for the list of residence, l wish l could get a photo of the street in the fifties, would be lovely, kind regards Jenny.

Ah well, worth a try....got this from lancashire archives...
There words not mine,,,,as i was only a baby....
Billy worked for Canter and Cockran lemonade and soft drinks....
(Dad) then the Ribble....we then moved to shelley street.
But i do remember them building the strand.... :wink:

My Grandmother lived at 25 Florida Street in 1901. Her name was Helena, parents were Matthew and Annie Kelly

Thankfully by then (1911) they had moved to Syren Street, in kirkdale. I have to say it's great to read all the memories on this site - awesome!

Hi oh that's great was trying to find info on my dad peter, i never knew him he died when i was born in 1968. And only have 1 photo of him, do you happen to know how long he lived there for. And what school he went to. Any info would be great thanks bettyboop
