Bob, Janette reckons that could be Sterrix Lane Secondary which became Litherland Girls.
A few years ahead of her so early 1960s . Some faces familiar but no names. Ken
I thought they looked too old fashioned at their age for Countess which was a newer school after those fashions. Bottle green uniform if I remember. Playing field could be our beloved Greenie. Ken
Thanks for enlarging the photo Joe. Quite a lot of these children lived in Bootle as St Elizabeths was on the border with Litherland
I do have names of some mainly the girls.

Back row 3 from left on Warwick Bolam pic looks like Richie Lavery who lived in Simons Croft, Ford.
He was a couple of years ahead of me so that would be 63/64/65 ish. Ken
Wow, cannot believe some of the class sizes. I counted 43 children in one class! Cannot remember how many children in my classes, however do not remember them being as big. Are the class sizes as large nowadays? My daughter was very lucky she was considered a high achiever and at one point she was one of eleven students. My son not so lucky, however looking back at his old school photographs he was one of 28.
Elaine I think you were the same school year as me and we had 40 in our class at Gray St. Born 49/50 we were the tail end of the baby boom so classes for previous few years were probably even bigger. Eileen's pic is of primary kids in 1949, they'd all have been born during the war so likely that was quite a small year group

BJ were you in the same year as me at the grammar? I had Miss Dunning when I was in 1 A . What was your maiden name? I was born August 1949, so you may have been a year below me.
Lynne,Jones is my maiden name. I was the year below you at BGSG, born July '50. Same form as Joyce N who, I if I remember rightly you met up with for a footy match a few years back. We had Miss Jones in 1A,
i remember Elaine mentioning a while back that as a child she'd been pals and shared a birth date with a girl from our year who I know had the same birthday as my dad 3 November... weird the things you remember isn't it
