In the '50s and a pupil at Salisbury Road School, we used to play on the bomb site across Peel Road. There were always stories of a dead dog there but we were never able to find it, but it was lumpy and a great adventure playground. Many years later, I discovered that it was the site of a bombed-out church which my mother and grandmother attended. I have never been able to find a picture of the church before it was bombed - I suppose it's too much to ask if anyone has a picture of it?

Thanks both. I knew exactly where it was but is that really a picture of the interior? I've not seen that before. So much history gone.
