Sadly Ken Frankland (the Butcher) passed on Thursday 25th Feb......he will be sorely missed.
An ebullient, genial character who always had that special ingredient for his customers......TIME......he would not only sell you the very best of whatever you ordered. he would also engage you in conversation about anything & everything.
Condolences to Eileen (his wife) & family.
His funeral is on Monday 7th March at 11.45am at St Marys Church in Waterloo (opposite the 5 lamps).
RIP Ken

I'm sorry to hear of his passing Paul, he was a very good butcher. Let's hope his sausage recipes live on. Like greengrocers, butchers are fading away from our community, to be replaced by supermarkets. I suppose it's our fault really; I use TA Owens.
